Portugal Shines on the List of the Best Vineyards

Portugal also made its mark on the World’s Best Vineyards 2024 list, with three renowned vineyards: Quinta do Crasto (15th place), Quinta do Bomfim (28th place) from Symington Family Estates, and Quinta do Noval (36th place).

The awards ceremony took place on Monday, November 4, 2024.

The World’s Best Vineyards list is compiled annually from nominations made by a voting committee, made up of experts in wine and travel. The world is divided into geographical regions, each led by a recognized expert, known as the Academy Chair, responsible for recruiting 36 members to the committee. Each member of the voting committee selects seven vineyards, considering both the experience offered to the public and the quality of their wine production.

The list announcement took place at the picturesque Nyetimber estate in West Sussex, England, at an event attended by wine producers and vineyard owners from around the world.
