On October 25th, we celebrate World Pasta Day! Although pasta has a history that dates back to ancient civilizations, it is in Italy that we find the recipes and traditions that have made it one of the most beloved dishes in the world. To mark this special date, we invite everyone to learn how to make their own fresh Italian pasta. It’s easy to make, delicious, and can be the perfect base to accompany our excellent Italian wines.
Recipe for Fresh Italian Pasta:
Ingredients:
250 g of all-purpose flour
125 g of eggs (about 2 large eggs)
3 g of salt
Preparation:
On a clean surface, make a mound with the flour and create a well in the center.
Add the eggs and salt into the well of flour.
Using a fork, begin mixing the ingredients, gradually incorporating the flour into the eggs until you achieve a homogeneous dough.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest for 30 minutes.
After resting, roll out the dough to your desired thickness and cut it as you prefer.
Now that you have the recipe for fresh pasta, why not pair it with the perfect Italian wine?
