Carneiro Wines
We are a family winery in the Vinhos Verdes region, in Basto, an ancient land with links to vines and wine production, and in which we have deep family roots. When we started producing our TORDO wine from the Alvarinho variety, our “first born” wine, we wanted it to have a distinctive character, almost a personality of its own, although fresh and balanced as only white wines can be. So we kept Alberto in charge of the vineyard and started Cristiana to raise the wines, as if her children were, adding to the children who already had both in common.
We are a family and we are also winegrowers, motivated to inspire as many and as many as will come to cross our made wines, each year, with the grapes created in the lands we explore and care for with all dedication.
