Titan of Douro
At the foothills of Serra do Reboredo (1,000 meters altitude), in Paredes da Beira, at the highest point of the Douro, it all began. Surrounded by abundant granite outcrops, the area has sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, an altitude between 700 and 1,000 meters, and lies on the slopes of the Távora River. It boasts an enviable heritage of century-old vineyards, untouched by time and preserved through generations of hard work. The result is wines with remarkable freshness, character, and identity! The commitment is always to enhance the best that the vineyard offers, respecting its history, tradition, and the essence of its people.
Vinification: Fresh grapes at their ideal ripeness, hand-picked into 20 kg boxes, are transported to the winery, where they undergo a meticulous manual selection, destemming, and gentle crushing, followed by skin maceration in stainless steel vats for 48 hours. Without decantation, the must was transferred to French oak barrels, where it fermented with indigenous yeasts and remained aging with fine lees stirring for 16 months.
Perfectly pairs with intensely flavored dishes, fatty fish, aged cheeses, cured ham, and fine charcuterie.
