The nose is marked with dry herbaceous elegance, fennel, aromas of orange peel and white flowers, and a smoky, pervasive minerality. A sparkling texture on the palate intertwines with light, juicy flavours and penetrating acidity before leading into a long, mouthwatering saline finish. An incredible homage to the fresh slopes of Montsant with enough body, structure and freshness to honour any Mediterranean food.
The refined beauty of this dry red is less savoury than the experience. A wild ride of tension, depth and complexity. The light aromas and flavours move like a dancer through the nose and palate from the bottom. Red and blue stone fruit to temper with a consistent velvety texture. Yet this seems almost secondary to the almost transcendental balance and inner silence. The wine has grown from respect for the land and culture. And it belongs to a place and a time, and as such is a true mirror of the power, mystery and beauty of its region.
