O Produtor, tasting note published in May 23rd 2021

Obtained from the selection of Arinto, Assario, Fernão-Pires, Tamarez and Roupeiro grape varieties, coming from the old white vine, planted in the tapada in 1903. Straw-coloured, citric, complex and intense aroma, with notes of tropical fruit and nuts. In the mouth it is full and exuberant, dominating complexity and very elegant ripe fruit, with a vibrant and fresh acidity. Harmonious at the end, intense in fruit and persistent.

Tapada do Chaves

Manual harvest from the old white vines planted in the tapada in 1903. The grapes were picked by hand, berry by berry, which allowed a high quality control from the beginning of the production process.
The grapes were pressed, followed by the clarification of the must by gravity – by the traditional method at low temperature. The fermentations took place in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature and using neutral yeasts, thus preserving the typicality and expression of the terroir. Ageing in bottle for 24 months.
