A prolonged time on natural lees gives an unexpected texture and a delicious nutty character. A full-bodied style with a hint of dried herbs, vibrant acidity, with a long, lingering finish. This unusual wine, pale lemon in color, reveals citrus notes of exotic fruits and flowers.

SPOKE wines, by Liam Steevenson and Ben Glover, are not a human interpretation of the place but an unbroken voice. Together, they aim to preserve the intrinsic characteristics of the land, cultivate roots in biota-rich soils, fermenting only with indigenous yeasts and at temperatures dictated by nature itself.

SPOKE is not an environmental check exercise but incorporates practices that allow for the production of the best possible wine. The result is land less impacted by wine production. It is also a celebration of the place, a true reflection of its significance, and a statement of commitment to protecting the land.
