Soalheiro Nature is our first Alvarinho produced without the addition of sulfites. Grapes obtained through organic farming reflect the purest expression of the grape variety and challenge the limits of its winemaking to create the most intense and honest expression of this wine. It truly reflects the “Pur Terroir” of Monção and Melgaço—the northernmost point of Portugal and also the birthplace of Alvarinho.

You can serve it in two ways. One is to decant the wine, separating it from the fine lees, and then pour the wine into the glass; the other is to gently shake the bottle, homogenizing the fine lees in the wine, and then pour it into the glass. Either way of serving Nature will provide a unique tasting experience of our Alvarinho in its purest expression.

Soalheiro Nature is a wine that brings greater pleasure when paired with food. Its rounded body and unique flavor make it the perfect wine to harmonize with hot dishes. We recommend dishes with fatty fish, lamb, duck, roasted chicken, and also dishes that include cream or mushroom sauce, such as a delicious risotto. It pairs perfectly with aged cheese.

oalheiro is the first Alvarinho brand in the northern point of Portugal named Melgaço and one of the first Portuguese producers of Alvarinho. Here the Alvarinho is special, the land is protected by a range of mountains that create conditions of rainfall, temperature and sunshine hours necessary for the best ripening of the grapes.
