This Grand Reserve has a refined and elegant aroma with prominent notes of white stone fruit wrapped in a touch of grapefruit peel and well-integrated smoky suggestions of wood. On the palate, it reveals good unctuosity and creaminess, very well balanced with acidity, marking an ensemble of extreme elegance. A white that captivates us with freshness and extended persistence to all senses.
The São Luiz Winemakers Collection Grand Reserve white wine seduces with immense freshness and persistence and results from the blend selected by winemaker Ricardo Macedo in 2020, of Folgasão and Rabigato. The final blend is the result of the best marriage between the two grape varieties over 4 years of aging and expresses the potential of these two grape varieties in this very particular terroir.
A unique wine with the quality seal of the Kopke house available in a limited, numbered, and signed edition of 4,400 bottles.
Vinification and aging: The grapes used for this white were hand-picked in the first half of September and transported to the S. Luiz cellar, where a second selection of clusters was made on a sorting mat. After pressing whole clusters, fermentation finished in 300-liter barrels and aged in the same barrels between 2019 and 2023.
Ideal for pairing with seafood dishes such as shellfish and fish, white meats, and cheeses.
