Romano Cunha

The collaboration between two renowned winemakers, the Spaniard Raul Perez and the winemaker Mario Romano Cunha, has given life to a work of art that transcends borders. Their dedication and wisdom are reflected in this wine, which attests to the fact that Trás-os-Montes, a region near Mirandela in the north of Portugal, is capable of producing wines that rival the best in the world.

‘With rigorous viticulture, Raul Perez ‘enslaves’ the vines to minimise yields and maximise concentration, pruning one kilo per vine for reds and only 300 to 500 gr. for white wines. Ripe and sensual, with a beautiful depth of fruit, balance and length, Romano Cunha’s wines are built to age’ – Sarah Ahmed, Wine Detective investigating Trás-os-Montes, Revista de Vinhos

Romano Cunha

A work of art by a great oenologist, the Spaniard Raul Perez, and the winemaker Mario Romano Cunha, who on his property, with his zeal and much wisdom, shows the world that Tras-os-Montes (very close to Mirandela, in the North) produces wines that can be compared with the best wines in the world.
