O Produtor, tasting note published in April 3rd 2023

Rola is a white wine that showcases the typical characteristics of the Viosinho, Rabigato, and Gouveio grape varieties. In the mouth, this wine reveals itself with intense acidity, presenting an impressive minerality, thereby creating an extremely fresh, vibrant wine with a long finish.

Rola

In the Douro, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this product of excellence and quality with traditional characteristics is born. Rola Douro Branco showcases the unique and differentiated character of the region, where we found the vineyards that express the Douro we know.

The year 2022 is marked by a productivity slightly above the average of the last 10 years, with a long, fresh, and rainy harvest (mainly from the second half of September). The musts are of good quality, fresher, slightly lower in alcohol, enhancing the characteristics of wines meant to be consumed young.

Vinification: Destemmed grapes, lightly crushed in a pneumatic press, with the resulting must decanted into 2,500-liter stainless steel tanks for 24 hours.

Bottling: March 2023.

Ana Rola

I feel an eternal love for this land I was born into, so I want to pay tribute to it by creating wines that respect their origin, preserve their soul and conserve their essence.
Authentic and honest wines but at the same time elegant and delicate.
I want them to express the enormous pride in the heritage that has been passed down to me and that they stand out for their naturalness and authenticity.
That is my hallmark!
