O Produtor, tasting note published in September 30th 2020

Color with bright, intense greenish and lemony hues. Aroma is expressive, dominated by intense orange blossom, which gains even more prominence over time in the glass and with temperature changes. Floral notes, a hint of tropical fruit, and a subtle touch of white pepper. On the palate, a dry wine, focused on freshness, acidity, and texture. Marked minerality, citrus notes, and a very long finish. A wine ready to be enjoyed now but with great aging potential.

Ravasqueira

With a limited production of 3,286 bottles, this Vinho Regional Alentejano, Ravasqueira Viognier, is the result of a winemaking philosophy that seeks to produce unique and exceptional wines each year, reflecting the singularity and character of the terroir where each grape variety is planted.

Winemaking:
100% Viognier, a French-origin grape variety that has found a unique and unprecedented expression of its freshness and intensity in the thermal amplitudes of Monte da Ravasqueira. Hand-harvested. The grapes are transported in 20 kg crates and kept for 48 hours in a cold chamber at 0°C.

Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels at low temperatures, with light bâtonnage only at the end of fermentation, initially highlighting the grape’s expressiveness, followed by the texture and complexity brought by the wood.

Winemakers: Pedro Pereira Gonçalves & Vasco Rosa Santos.
