O Produtor, tasting note published in May 23rd 2022
Orange-coloured, with a striking aroma of orange blossom due to peicular maceration. In the mouth, surprising due to its unusual combination of acidity and salinity structure.
Meticulous and manual harvesting respecting the integrity of the berries. One of the grapes was vinified by the open spout method, in small stainless steel vats (without contact with the skins) and another through tanning (contact with the skins) in a press. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by 4 months.

Ramilo Wines
Since 1937, the Ramilo family has been dedicated to wine on the Atlantic coast between Colares and Mafra, once one of Portugal’s most famous wine regions. Four generations later, dissatisfied with the abandonment of local traditions, brothers Pedro and Nuno Ramilo left everything and returned to their origins. They faced blockades, moved stones and mountains, rehabilitated farms, saved old vineyards and replanted new ones. They rescued from oblivion the true vines of Colares and the noble varieties of the region.
