O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2018

Citrine and limpid coloured wine, with a subtle and fine aroma, with notes of white plum and pederneiras notes. In the mouth the wine is intense and unctuous, with a pronounced acidity, which will allow a positive ageing certainly in the next 5 years.

Sociedade Agrícola de Vale de Fornos, AS

One of the oldest and most remarkable farms in the Tagus Wine Region. This property was offered by D. Antónia Ferreira (Ferreirinha) as his daughter’s wedding dowry with the 3rd Count of Azambuja, and was acquired in 1972 by the current owners, the Duarte Monteiro family. Taking into account the current scenario of the wine world, Quinta Vale de Fornos felt the need to safeguard and consolidate its traditional Quinta wines, originating in a Terroir complex and traditional winemaking methods in classic 18th century marble mills, guaranteeing authentic wines with a profile faithful to the Old World. At the same time, it was decided to create a new line of wines adapted to the new markets, thus increasing our capacity of supply and competitiveness, betting on an increasingly organic production in order to respond to the demanding needs of the national and international market, export is currently one of the main focuses of this project.
