Quinta do Pessegueiro
The viticultural year of 2021/2022 was characterized by being a hot and dry year. Continuous drought and very high temperatures during maturation forced early harvests, which only slowed down with the drop in temperatures and the precipitation that occurred in early September. These conditions were beneficial for maturation, contributing to an increase in the quality of the wines.
The harvest took place in early September. The grapes were transported in 22kg crates to the winery. They spent 12 hours in a refrigerated chamber before being pressed in a vertical press. Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts occurred for the entire batch in used 600L barrels. It underwent a 6-month aging process in wood on fine lees. The wine was bottled in May 2023.
