Quinta de Cidrô
Located in São João da Pesqueira, one of the most renowned wine-producing regions of the Douro, Quinta de Cidrô has become a model of viticultural experimentation for the entire region. In this virgin land, cutting-edge technology has been used to plant the best grape varieties over an area exceeding 150 hectares. In this privileged location, some international varieties coexist harmoniously with local ones. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Noir, and the noble and adaptable Cabernet Sauvignon are among the international varieties that express their best characteristics here, combined with the extensive winemaking capabilities provided by Real Companhia Velha.
The Quinta de Cidrô Sauvignon Blanc was one of the first projects in the context of experimentation and innovation at the estate, quickly becoming the most successful white wine in our range. This Sauvignon Blanc combines the best of two worlds: the concentration and power of the Douro and the elegance and character of this recognized French grape variety.
The grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. 100% of the wine is kept in stainless steel for a period of 3 months before bottling.
