It has a crystalline appearance and a faint yellow colour. The aroma is characterised by accentuated notes of citrus fruit, surrounded by nuances of orange blossom. Surprisingly fresh on the nose and on the palate, with the acidity balanced by the volume in the mouth, finishing full of breadth.
In a hot and dry vintage, our 20-year-old Viosinho vines thrived, with low rainfall and high temperatures. Disease pressure was minimal, and the early harvest, prompted by ongoing drought and heat, was later tempered by cooler September weather. This climate-driven rhythm resulted in wines of exceptional quality, maintaining sugar, acidity, and phenolic levels ideal for high-quality vintages. Hand-harvested in August, our grapes underwent meticulous processing, and fermentation occurred at 16ºC. Bottled in 2023, this vintage captures the essence of a unique growing season.

Quinta de Ventozelo
In 2014 Quinta de Ventozelo was acquired by Gran Cruz, the largest Port wine exporting company in Portugal, which was already processing its grapes since 2011.
Since that moment, Gran Cruz’s strategy has sought to enhance the enormous potential of the property. This involves not only working on the richness and diversity of its wines, but also investing in olive oil, wine tourism and nature tourism.
In a total involvement with this place and its terroir, all the work developed has as main focus to privilege and preserve its simplicity and authenticity
