O Produtor, tasting note published in June 15th 2023

Straw yellow color, still with greenish reflections. Deep and fresh aroma with slight floral notes and strong hints of minerality, reflecting the mineral-hydrological richness of the region (the largest in Europe). Strong and structured palate like the granite supporting the vines, but with the subtlety and refreshing acidity of the valley that produces it. Freshness and complexity are the dominant traits. Sensations are always individual, but the product (the wine) is always collective.

Quinta de Arcossó

Vineyard: 2.5-hectare plot integrated into a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2003, located on a broad hillside at a medium altitude (375 meters), facing south, with about 20% slope. 5-hectare plot of new vineyard, integrated into an 8-hectare ensemble, and the white grapes come from a plot of old vineyard of 0.8 hectares. Soil of granitic origin.

Grapes were harvested on September 1, 4, 8, and 19, with about 70% of the alcoholic fermentation carried out in French oak barrels with “bâtonnage” for 10 months. Bottling took place in November 2022, followed by bottle aging for 6 months.

For immediate consumption. It can be decanted 60 minutes before serving and served at a temperature of 13ºC.

Quinta de Arcossó

In the Ribeira de Oura, between Vidago and Chaves, Trás-os-Montes, in Northern Portugal, you’ll find a unique place for wine production – Quinta de Arcossó.

Located in a region with strong winemaking traditions dating back to pre-Roman times, the vineyards are planted on a south-facing convex slope at an altitude of 400 meters with about a 20% incline. In its granitic soil, carefully selected grape varieties adapted to the region thrive.

In the winery, the full potential of the grapes is expressed, and mechanical operations are minimized.

As a result of the perfect harmony between nature and man, excellent wine has been produced on the 12 hectares of Quinta de Arcossó since 2005.

In each bottle from the estate, you discover unique wines, full of complex aromas, and complemented by dense and prolonged finishes.
