Quinta Alta
A blend, coming from high-altitude vineyards (450 to 650 meters), composed of native grape varieties from the Demarcated Douro Region.
A DOC – Douro from the Baixo Corgo sub-region, elegant, expressive, and balanced, with good volume. Fresh notes of citrus, lime, grapefruit, white fruit, and good minerality. On the palate, it is serious, with exuberant acidity.
VINIFICATION: 80% Gouveio Real and 20% Viosinho. Manual harvest on August 30th and 31st, 2022, carried out in 20 kg boxes. Manual selection on sorting table. Direct and gentle pressing. Slow fermentation at low temperature (14ºC).
PAIRING: A versatile wine that pairs well with salmon gravlax, oven-baked dishes like traditional roasted cod, caldeiradas, or even white meats.
ENOLOGY: Francisco Montenegro and Fernanda Zuccaro.
AGING: Maceration and fermentation in new 550L French oak barrels. Weekly batonnage for 12 months. Aging in barrel for 12 months and 6 months in stainless steel tank.
ANALYSES: Total acidity: 5.5% gr/L | pH 3.38.
