QUINTA COLINAS DE S. LOURENÇO, the first property to become part of the Group’s assets, is a modern and exemplary estate that marks the origin of IDEALDRINKS.
The vineyard, which was totally remodelled and replanted with various national and international grape varieties – Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Arinto. Enabling a wide and diverse range of products to be produced, including red, rosé, white and sparkling wines.
The estate’s winery, recently built in accordance with the best examples worldwide, uses the most modern winemaking technology, moving all the liquids and pulp by gravity. The large ageing rooms, equipped with the best French oak barrels, meet the ideal conditions for the tranquil resting of the wines which, normally, also age in bottle for several years. The reserve wines destined for the production of sparkling wines also age in these rooms in imposing reserve casks.
The tradition of the Bairrada terroir and the know-how of the IDEALDRINKS team are combined here with the modernity of the vineyard and of the winemaking processes to produce wines and sparkling wines of high complexity and elegance, presented through a rich and wide portfolio which includes the Principal, Colinas and São Lourenço brands.
