O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2019
Very elegant and fresh. Great expression of fruit notes well combined with white flowers. On the palate, we find a crispy wine with good acidity and body balance. Rich and long finish.
The Passadouro Branco is made from grapes from the caste Viosinho, Rabigato and Códega do Larinho, which grow on the sloping slopes of the Douro Valley. The main characteristics of this wine are its freshness, complexity and minerality.

Quinta do Passadouro
The Quinta do Passadouro dates back to the 18th century and was always famous for its port wines. The domain is located in the sub region of Cima Corgo near the village of Pinhão. The extreme climate, hot during the day but very cold at night, means that the grapes ripen more slowly than in other regions of the Douro giving freshness to the wines. This results in harvests of the very best quality. Tradicionally, the best vintage and late bottled vintage ports came from renowned port houses also in this area. As a result of the step inclines made of slate, and the limited width of terraces, the grapes are picked by hand. The wine makers deliberately choose organic agricultural methods and reject the use of any kind of chemicals. It is only in this way that they can ensure a perfect base product for their excellent wines.
