O Produtor, tasting note published in June 5th 2022
Elegant and complex nose with dominance of chalk mineral notes, white flowers, beeswax and citrus. Some hints of spices such as nutmeg and
nutmeg and coriander seed. Mouth of great structure, texture and freshness with the acidity very long but very involved.
This wine comes from two small vineyards in the Bucelas valley. A floodplain vineyard in a very cold area on deep clay-limestone soils and another vineyard on a more chalky and sunnier hillside. It is a raw approach to the unique terroir of this region, revisiting an artisanal winemaking technique, stripped of technology and seeking the purest expression of the Arinto de Bucelas.
Pressing with stalk in open press, slight decantation and long fermentation 80% in vat and 20% in old barrels. Ageing for 10 months on the lees of fermentation. Bottled in July 2021 and aged in bottle since then.

Mira do Ó
Old vines, century-old vines, hillside vines, lowland vines, clay or stony vines, all produce different wines.
It has been our mission to interpret all the differences that exist in the vines and transpose them into the different wines. Our major focus is on old vines of Baga, in the case of the reds, and Bical in the case of the whites, although in some vineyards there are blends with other local grape varieties.
The oenology is minimalist in terms of intervention but quite differentiated and adapted to each of the different vineyards, i.e., the different plots also have a different approach in the winery in order to better reveal what we believe to be their purest expression.
We want wines that are tense, fresh and complex, with a great connection to the terroir and a unique personality and that, fundamentally, will give us pleasure for many years.
