O Produtor, tasting note published in February 27th 2025

It reveals a bright citrus color and an intense aroma with notes of orange and tangerine, along with some tropical fruit. The good mouthfeel is balanced by an elegant lemonade acidity, with a fresh and lingering finish.

Mingorra

The complexity of the region combined with the freshness and intensity of the varietal aromas result in this balance between youth and character.

The Colheita Branco from Herdade da Mingorra originates from a selection of grapes from newer plots, planted between 2005 and 2016, in some of the best viticultural areas of the estate.

The grape varieties used, some of the noblest in the Alentejo, Portugal, and the world, are the result of decades of experience and research into how they behave in these soils and the climate of the southern Alentejo.

The 2024 Vintage at Herdade da Mingorra: The start of the 2024 growing season was marked by heavy rainfall, which allowed a good concentration of water in the soil, resulting in good initial development and plant vigour. Scattered rainfall in the spring led to heavy mildew pressure, which forced us to intervene in the vineyard. During the summer, high temperatures combined with the lack of rainfall led to challenging ripening, and the harvest was accelerated due to rainfall in early September.

Winemaking: Fermentation in stainless steel vats with a temperature controlled at 16°C, followed by bâtonnage for three months.

Winemaker: Pedro Hipólito.

Analysis: Total Acidity: 5.2 g/L | pH: 3.49.

A wine to be enjoyed with seafood and fish dishes.

Mingorra

In the warm lands of Baixo Alentejo, just a few kilometres from the city of Beja, there is one of the oldest wine-growing cultures in the region. These are vineyards with decades of history that Henrique Uva has been preserving and making profitable for years and which he has always wanted to value as an independent producer.
In 2004, the dream came true, with the project being named Henrique Uva / Herdade da Mingorra. The winery is duly framed within the 1,400 ha of a landscape that is even exuberant, such is the diversity of cultures and fauna, with various river basins functioning as authentic oases. The Winery assumes itself as an authentic place of worship. A space where modernity and functionality coexist, indelibly, with the most traditional techniques.
