Pale yellow, with an intense and fresh nose. Notes of woodland (sous-bois) and humus. Good acidity and broad on the palate with a long finish.

Mestiço

It is a blend by Ljubomir Stanisic +++ Mateus Nicolau de Almeida: 32% Rabigato from Paulo de Tebas, 32% Rabigato from Amón de Kélia, 31% Rabigato from Antão do Deserto, 5% from Vinha dos Trinta in flor veil.

See beyond the gaze. Beyond the reflection in the mirror. Under the makeup. Turn imperfections into virtues. Touch the earth. Let it slip through your fingers and hold onto your feet. Feel the morphology with your tongue, the rock with your palate, hear the wind blowing, see the Côa flowing below. This wine is nature in its purest form. A rough diamond.

Climate: Mediterranean.

Soil: Schist.

Vinification: Foot treading of whole clusters in a calcatórium (granite basin) for 3 hours, followed by pressing in a vertical press. The must flows by gravity into cement tanks in a subterranean cellar with excellent natural temperature and humidity conditions. Spontaneous fermentation occurs without temperature control. Aging for 1 year in cement tanks.

Analytical parameters: pH: 3.23 | Total Acidity: 6.6 g/L.

Niepoort Vinhos

The Niepoort family has been creating Port Wines since 1842. The first property in Douro was bought in 1987 and Dirk Niepoort started a new Era in the company with the creation of the first Redoma red in 1991. In the last years Niepoort took on the great challenge of interpreting other soils and climates and acquired two properties in other regions, Dão and Bairrada. Discover the Niepoort Triangle which express the different terroirs: Schist (Douro), Limestone (Bairrada) and Granite (Dão).
