This wine was made with grapes from an old vineyard over 120 years old.

Vinification: Fermented in new French oak barrels, with 3 months of battonage.

Ageing: 6 months in French oak barrels, giving it complex characteristics in terms of aroma, texture, colour and flavour.

Winemaker: Jorge Serôdio Borges.

Maritávora – Investimentos, Lda. Was founded with the aim of providing a family activity with a business structure with more than 150 years of history and tradition. in the mid-19th century, José Junqueiro Júnior, father of the poet Guerra Junqueiro, acquired a set of farms and properties in the municipality of Freixo de Espada à Cinta in the Upper Douro, the vast majority of which are still held by his direct descendants. an old white grape vine planted by our ancestor at the end of the 19th century, it is still in production today, giving rise to Maritávora Nº1 Grande Reserva Branco.
