O Produtor, tasting note published in August 10th 2021
A pale yellow colour for this Burgundy wine. Powerful, generous and complex nose. In the mouth, vanilla and fruit aromas dominate. A lovely persistence with a woody finish for this great Meursault.
Located south of Volnay and Pommard on the Beaune Coast, Meursault is the largest white wine municipality on the southern Côte d’Or. The Meursault “Goutte d’Or” is the first 1er Cru to be found when leaving the village towards Puligny-Montrachet. It is said that this parcel was so named because of the numerous stones that make up its constitution, stones shaped and coloured like “golden drops”. The wine ages for 8 to 10 months in oak barrels, 50% of which are new, which gives it its woody character. Rich and structured.
