Intense citrus yellow color. Aromas of white fruit, combined with nuances of orange blossom and a light toast. Harmonious and vibrant, it is lively with distinct minerality and very well-integrated wood. Excellent balance between freshness and fruit, indicating some aging potential.

“Concept: ITER defines a journey; the trajectory of a continuous process. These are the steps taken on this journey, which I wish to be long, based on a personal project, and in the pursuit of more wisdom and knowledge.
The wines are the result of a unique identity that I want to share, because in this blend of flavors and aromas, there is always a story to tell, a passion to live, and a dream to fulfill!

Vineyard: A unique vineyard approximately 30 years old. Low yield, exclusively with native Douro grape varieties, predominantly Viosinho (70%) and Gouveio (30%). South exposure, high altitude. Transitional granite soil. Planted in the sub-region of Cima Corgo.

Vinification: The harvest took place under ideal weather conditions in the first week of September. The grapes were carefully selected, whole bunch pressed with low yield, followed by a fermentation process lasting 15 days at low temperature. This was followed by aging in used French oak barrels for 9 months.

Duplo PR

A Duplo PR is a wine consulting company that has been providing technical services primarily in the Douro Demarcated Region since 2001, assisting producers from harvest scheduling to wine bottling.

The primary motivation of Duplo PR when working with Quinta producers is to fulfill someone’s dream of making their own wine.

In 2005, a new adventure began: the creation of their own wine brands. This is how passionately, but uncompromisingly, the first wine was born in 2005, the 2PR Grande Reserva Tinto, which is still produced today, and two years later, the first ITER, signed by Filipa Pizarro.

Today, with over two decades of consulting experience, seven simultaneous Quinta producers of various sizes, half a million bottles per year under their guidance from 150 hectares of vineyards on different slopes of the Douro, two proprietary brands (2PR and ITER) join in with very limited editions, representative of the quality and profile that Duplo PR aims for.
