O Produtor, tasting note published in May 2nd 2021
Coming from a fresh and airy terroir, it is a wine that is acidic, light, aromatic and evolutive. Simple aromas, very citric and not very floral. It gives weak signs that bottle ageing will do it wonders. A unique Fernão-Pires, with a growth potential out of the normal.
Grape harvested before the usual patterns of maturation. Total destemming, static clarification followed by fermentation with native yeasts at a controlled temperature of 17ºC to preserve the natural aromas. Ageing of 7 months in vat. Bottling without stabilization or filtration.

Hugo Mendes
Born and raised in Ribeira de Santarém, Hugo Mendes studied Biotechnological Engineering but his passion for wines spoke louder and since the 2006 vintage he has been fully dedicated to oenology. A lover of communicating art to consumers, he is a regular presence on social networks. Since 2008 he feeds a blog dedicated to uncomplicate oenology for oenophiles. He became a producer in his own name at the 2016 harvest, and for that he carried out the first crowdfunding, in Portugal, to finance a wine.
