Herdade do Rocim
The “Mariana” White is a young and lively wine, with generous fruit, freshness, and aromatic richness, showcasing the charm of the region.
Climate: Typically Mediterranean, characteristic of the Vidigueira sub-region, where climatic conditions are the mildest in Alentejo, providing an optimal microclimate for high-quality wine production.
Soils: Low-yielding, of granitic and schist origin, with excellent potential for viticulture and the creation of outstanding wines.
The Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Alvarinho grape varieties are trained on a single ascending plane, in a plot with a slight eastward exposure and rows oriented east-west.
Vinification: Handpicked in 12 kg crates. After selection on a vibrating sorting table, the grapes underwent cold skin maceration. Fermentation took place in small stainless steel tanks at 14.5ºC for 19 days. After bottling, the wine was aged in the bottle for one month.
