Herdade do Rocim
The “Herdade do Rocim” Branco is a genuine wine, produced from the passion of generations who have always had the greatest respect and tenderness for the land. It is made from the Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Viosinho grape varieties.
Climate: typically Mediterranean, found in the Vidigueira sub-region where climatic conditions are the most temperate in Alentejo, providing an optimal microclimate for the production of high-quality wines.
Soils: Low-productivity, of granite and schist origin. Great pedological potential for vine cultivation and the production of excellent wines.
The Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Viosinho grapes are grown in a single ascending cordon, in a plot with a slight east exposure and lines oriented east-west.
Vinification and aging: Manual harvest in 12 kg crates. After a period of cold skin maceration, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14.5ºC for 21 days. After bottling, the wine aged in the bottle for a period of two months.
