O Produtor, tasting note published in March 23rd 2024
Citrine with greenish reflections, Intense, beginning with floral to pink notes, followed by citric notes of lemonade and, at the end, very fresh with aniseed touches. In the mouth it is a wine with volume,
with a young and very fresh flavour due to its good acidity, making a balanced and very persistent set.

The Dona Matilde estate is one of the oldest properties in the Douro region. Previously known as Enxodreiro, the quinta was part of the first demarcation, ordered by the Marquis of Pombal in 1756, and was part of the properties with authorisation to produce “feitoria wines”, a synonymous expression of the best wines, those intended for export. Even today the entire vineyard has letter A, the highest classification in the region, used in the Port wine sector.
