O Produtor, tasting note published in June 13th 2021

Pale lemon. Aromatic notes of lime with hints of freshly cut grass and honeysuckle.
Aromas on the nose that manifest wonderfully on the palate, with refreshing acidity and a driven mineral finish.

Départment 33

Département 33 originates from Château de Fontenille, from vines planted in soils of sand, gravel, and marl, in the village of La Sauve and Entre-Deux-Mers. Made from 2/3 Sauvignon Blanc and 1/3 Old Vine Sémillon.

Wine, like friendship, requires a lot of attention, care. The wines of Château de Fontenille deserve to be tasted, savored, commented on, and enjoyed among friends, with family.

The elevated fruit combined with the linear minerality of the white wine Département 33 makes it very versatile, but it pairs especially well with shellfish and firm-textured fish, such as Monkfish and Gurnard.

The Entre-deux-Mers region is home to many Bordeaux wine appellations, distinguished especially by its white wines with a rich and elegant bouquet that gives way to dry, fresh, vibrant, and fruity wines. Located between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, its name comes from the Latin “Inter duo maria,” meaning between two tides due to the influence of the tides that rise the rivers through the estuary. The mascaret, a wave formed by the collision between the rising tide and the flow of the rivers, is a manifestation of this. Entre-deux-Mers is a verdant region of hills and valleys, often nicknamed the Bordeaux Tuscany.

Vineyard Productions

At Vineyard Productions we offer a unique set of services that take us beyond the domains of being a traditional wine supplier. We deliver a style of wine consulting that positively benefits the wineries we represent, the markets we serve, the customers we offer and the enthusiasts and consumers who want to be at the forefront of wine trends.
From the very beginning at the production level, our team of winemakers helps producers to develop exciting and sought-after wines. From there, our brand management team creates strong marketing, branding and packaging plans to give visibility to products in a saturated market.
It is then the task of our sales team to create personalised distribution and sales strategies for each of the wines we represent.
As a versatile business, we also seek to develop and build on trends within the wine industry. This means we can create wine brands from scratch, based on our knowledge of what consumers are looking for. Acting in this way means that the wines we create are desirable for consumers and therefore stand out in wine lists and fly off the shelves.
The majority of this wine list is made up of wines that we produce, together with a handful of wineries that we represent in the international market, wineries that we believe to be exceptional and whose stories we are very proud to tell.
Vineyard Productions is a company rich in ideas, talent and enthusiasm, focused on providing excellence in everything we offer.
