Covela
Quinta de Covela practices organic agriculture on granite soils that form a natural amphitheatre facing south. A low-lying terraced landscape on the right bank of the Douro River, in the southern part of the Vinhos Verdes region (Minho).
Cold winters and hot, dry summers – on the border between the continental climate of the Douro Valley and the maritime influence of the Douro Litoral.
Hand-picked. Transport in small boxes to avoid crushing. Manual selection of grapes. Gentle pressing.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control.
Aged on fine lees until mid-February 2022. Light filtration before bottling.
