Covela
Quinta de Covela practices organic agriculture on granite soils that form a natural amphitheatre facing south. A low-lying terraced landscape on the right bank of the Douro River, in the southern part of the Vinhos Verdes region (Minho).
Cold winters and hot, dry summers – on the border between the continental climate of the Douro Valley and the maritime influence of the Douro Litoral.
Hand-picked. Transport in small boxes to avoid crushing. Manual selection of clusters. Slight skin maceration.
Gentle pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control.
Aged on fine lees until the end of January 2022.
Light filtration before bottling.
