Conde d'Ervideira

Harvest: Mechanical at night. Vinification: The grapes are stalked and sent to vinimatics, where they remain for 6 to 10 hours at a temperature of 12ºC. Then they are pressed and sent to the cold room, where they ferment at a temperature between 13º to 15ºC. Stage: 6 Months of new barrels of Hungarian oak.

Ervideira

The estates of Monte da Ribeira and Herdadinha both belong to the Leal da Costa family, direct descendants of the Count of Ervideira, a successful farmer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With 160 hectares divided between two estates, one in Vidigueira (110 ha) and the other in Reguengos de Monsaraz (50 ha), Ervideira´s company is run by Maria Isabel Leal da Costa, the family’s matriarch, together with the support of her six children, including Duarte Leal da Costa, the executive director. Nelson Rolo is the head winemaker.
