O Produtor, tasting note published in October 12th 2022

Two international grape varieties are part of the blend, fermented together, thus promoting a better integration of their particular qualities.

One of the grape varieties is known for its aromatic personality, with dense tones and full of notes of ripe white fruit. The other, on the contrary, plays more on austerity and delicacy, where light floral touches appear, contributing to the harmony of the blend! In the mouth the volume and density of one, contrasts harmoniously with the firmness and restraint of the other.

The happy marriage of these two varieties was sponsored by the particular terroir of Quinta da Teixuga, giving the two international varieties all the conditions to develop their personality, influenced, however, by the Portuguese temperament!

Clandestino

From the Latin clandestinus. In secret; made in secret; without anyone knowing; hidden; contrary to laws or morals. Planted in the open air and in the very heart of the Dão, the grapes that give life to this Clandestino have a distant origin. Made in a conspiratorial manner, by all those who harvested and worked them, this wine reveals itself as fresh, indulgent, enigmatic, and even – according to rumors – immoral.

For its freshness and balance, it pairs well with cold seafood, Italian dishes with cheese, grilled fish, and honeyed dried fruits.
