Brancaia

Brancaia IL Bianco is a pure Sauvignon Blanc; a fresh white wine with a fruity bouquet that, having not completed malolactic fermentation, exhibits a refreshing acidity.

Vinification: From September 1st to 8th, we harvest the grapes for this wine, 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Radda, only in the early morning hours so that they arrive fresh in the cellar. There, we let them ferment spontaneously after twelve hours of contact with the press mass at 16 degrees.

By avoiding malolactic fermentation, we obtain a wonderfully fresh wine that, thanks to five months of aging on lees (⅓ in barrels, ⅔ in steel tanks), has an excellent structure.

“The mouthfeel is simple and straightforward. But this wine hits the bull’s eye,” writes Monica Larner in the Parker Guide about the 2013 vintage.

“White wines usually play a minor role in Tuscany. We are all the more proud of our Il Bianco, which seems to us even better with each vintage and has developed very well over time.” – The Producer
