O Produtor, tasting note published in July 13th 2021
When I drink this mixture, I am immediately projected onto the
Argentario, I can feel the sea breeze, the soil, the sun and the perfumes of the Maremma wine region. The first impression I get is the zesty, orange and peach blossom aroma, then citrus and acidity from Vermentino, pear, exotic fruits, balance and body from Trebbiano and Ansonica.
Casamatta Bianco is produced from vineyards between Capalbio and
Argenatrio, on the cost of southern Tuscany. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel tanks, destemmed and soft pressed with dry ice. Fermentation is done at very low temperatures to maintain the freshness of the wines and lasts for 2 weeks. Blended wines will age 3 months in tanks before bottling.
