O Produtor, tasting note published in February 14th 2024

Intense aroma, with a mineral character balanced with floral notes of roses and violets, in harmony with hints of tangerine peel and grapefruit. Acidity and freshness with dominant fruit characteristics prevail on the palate, very long and creamy with very fresh acidity.

Beyra

Origin: 100% Moscatel Galego Branco grapes from organic dry farming (without irrigation), originating from a plot in our vineyard with clay-schist soil and veins of quartz, located in the parish of Vermiosa at 725 meters altitude, in the heart of the International Douro Natural Park, where cold nights help preserve the full potential of the grape’s primary aromas.

Winemaking: Manual harvest in small perforated boxes of 20 kg, gentle pressing of whole clusters without destemming to preserve the integrity of the grapes to the maximum; natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature between 16°C – 17°C to obtain the maximum expression of the grape/soil/climate combination.

Aging: After alcoholic fermentation, the wine was in contact with the fine lees, which were lifted and stirred for about a month in stainless steel tanks to gain creaminess and mouth volume. After bottling, the wine aged for 3 months in the bottle.

Rui Roboredo Madeira Vinhos

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, on the border between the Douro Superior and Beira Alta regions, it was among family that its passion grew for the aromas and smells of this land that shapes our character.
After coming into contact with many cultures of living and making wine, in various parts of the globe, Rui Madeira returned to the great Douro valley convinced that they have the potential to make the best wines in the world.
Out of respect for nature, due to the way we cultivate their vineyards and wines reflect his experiences, which smell and taste of land, of schist, damp granite, rock rose, wild flowers and fruit.
It is in the winery that he makes wines with the character of our ‘terroir’, expressed through native grape varieties, which instil with a style of their own and an international profile.
