Wines made from this grape variety are characterized by abundant floral and fresh notes, with a slight minerality and ripe fruit on the palate. This wine is the perfect example of that.

This Vinho Verde pairs perfectly with various dishes such as fish, grilled poultry, Asian cuisine, or a fresh salad. It is ideal for a summer aperitif.

Suggestion: Roasted chicken with sweet potatoes and apples paired with Arca Nova Loureiro Vinho Verde.

Winemaking: Flotation in a controlled atmosphere to preserve varietal aromas. Fermentation at low temperatures and bâtonnage after alcoholic fermentation. No malolactic fermentation.

The Quinta das Arcas was founded in the 1980s, the result of Esteves Monteiro’s vision, continuing the work initiated in the previous decade to modernize the family’s agriculture. Focusing on land consolidation and implementing modern viticulture, he launched the first bottles under the Arca Nova brand in 1985.

From the outset, the company prioritized production quality, combining innovation with environmental respect. This commitment led, in 2012, to the launch of Quinta das Arcas’ first organic wine, produced from around 200 hectares of vineyards in the Vinho Verde region.

At the turn of the century, the company expanded to the Alentejo. At Herdade Penedo Gordo, located in a unique microclimate in the Borba region, 120 hectares of vineyards surrounding a modern winery produce exceptional wines, establishing the estate as a reference in Alentejo.

With an annual production of around 2.5 million liters, Quinta das Arcas stands today as an example of innovation and tradition, ready to conquer new markets and deliver high-quality wines worldwide.
