QUINTA DA PEDRA, one of the most historic properties of Alto Minho, with roots in the 17th century, is today the largest continuous vine of Alvarinho variety in Portugal.
Located in the municipality of Monção, in the parish of Longos Vales, in the heart of the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, this extensive property with 43 hectares of vineyard dedicated to the Alvarinho variety, benefits from granite soils and generous sun exposure.
A careful and precise viticulture, guaranteed by the “savoir-faire” of the IDEALDRINKS team, gives rise to the best grapes of this noble grape variety, the basis of the property’s monovarietal wines – the excellent Quinta da Pedra and the surprising Longos Vales.
The new winery has model winemaking facilities, supported by the most modern technology, essential to preserve and enhance the quality of the grapes created at QUINTA DA PEDRA and produce the best wines. In the current project, one of the most sophisticated distilleries in the world dedicated to brandies of Alvarinho and Loureiro grape varieties, among others, as well as distillates of national fruit.
Tradition, design and state-of-the-art technology integrated in a contemporary architectural ensemble perfectly framed in the surrounding landscape, a natural extension of a unique farm in the Region.
