O Produtor, tasting note published in April 3rd 2021
Light straw colour. Delicate nose combining fresh fruit fragrances with complex aromas and touches of oak characteristic of a traditional white port. Fresh and lively palate, with good flavour and a fresh, dry finish.
Chip Dry is produced using the traditional winemaking method for Port wines, whereby brandy is added to the must to stop fermentation and preserve in the final wine some of the grapes’ natural sugar. In the case of Chip Dry, the brandy is added later, when most of the sugar has already converted into alcohol, thus producing an unusually dry Port.
