O Produtor, tasting note published in May 5th 2023
Sparkling rosé with a salmon color, revealing a floral and wild berry nose. The bubbles are not very intense but with abundant mousse, highlighting the varietal profile of the grape and the contact with the lees.
Colares: a Ramisco rosé – what do you think about that?
The Ramisco rosé is the Colares’ stroke of genius. At Ramilo Wines, respect for tradition coexists well with the irreverence of a young team. From sandy ground vineyards emerges a Ramisco grape rosé – a unique wine in Portugal that lingers in the memory for a long time.” – Edgardo Pacheco, Público, 03/09/2021

Ramilo Wines
Since 1937, the Ramilo family has been dedicated to wine on the Atlantic coast between Colares and Mafra, once one of Portugal’s most famous wine regions. Four generations later, dissatisfied with the abandonment of local traditions, brothers Pedro and Nuno Ramilo left everything and returned to their origins. They faced blockades, moved stones and mountains, rehabilitated farms, saved old vineyards and replanted new ones. They rescued from oblivion the true vines of Colares and the noble varieties of the region.
