The Quinta da Mata Fidalga is a Portuguese company in the Bairrada region dedicated to the production of wines and sparkling of high quality. With ancient traditions in vine cultivation dating back to century XII, the Bairrada region and its wines and sparklings are made with native grapes. The name “Bairrada” has being derived from the region’s own very nature of soils: clay.
It was in the mid-80s that wine production started to have real expression as result of the passion, determination and entrepreneurship of its founders, Mr. Fabiano Augusto Santos and Mr. Virgílio de Sousa. We chose to baptize our wines as “Quinta da Mata Fidalga – QMF”, because where are today installed parts of vineyards that give rise to our wines, have existed once a luxurious forest, much used by the nobility of the time as private leisure and fun space.
The passion and professionalism that we put in the production of our wines has allowed us to be one of the producers that have grossed more awards in the 29 editions of the Best Wines Bairrada already performed.
Our philosophy is guided by ongoing work with our partners and customers in order to promote and enhance our brand over time, always in search of perfection and on behalf of a sustained growth in the various markets where we are present.
