MV 13 Brut Fût de Chêne is one of the most far-fetched wines I have ever tasted at Henri Giraud. Rich and spherical, with a huge textural resonance, the 2013 possesses an intensity off the charts in all directions. White flowers, smoke, crushed rock and citrus incorporate into the intense, palate-tinged finish. The house style imprint is very strong in all these wines, but the 2013 stands out for its explosive vertical lift and vibrancy. Simply put, the 2013 is a new benchmark wine for Henri Giraud. It is a stunning wine that Giraud fans will absolutely not want to miss. Degorgement: 20 March 2018.
Cuvée Fût de Chêne MV13 (Multi-Vintage) : 100% Grand Cru de Aÿ, the true expression of the Maison Giraud style, presented in a unique bottle, and sealed with a clamp.
This champagne is made from a blend composed of 67% of the 2013 vintage, and 33% from the perpetual reserve, with 70% Pinots Noirs and 30% Chardonnays.
After 12 months of creation in oak barrels from the Argonne forest, then 6 years on its lees, this cuvée reveals itself and is definitely a remarkable wine !
