O Produtor, tasting note published in April 24th 2015
The Vinhão grape variety has great colour intensity and hence the unusual colour of this rosé, almost an open red. Well fruited, it reminds blackberries and cherry, with full body and fresh and lively flavour, in a profile more vigorous than elegant.

Casal do Paço, in Vasco Croft’s family since the 17th century, has the soul of an old Quinta and was the starting point for the Aphros project. The farm spreads over almost 20 hectares of land and woodland, six of which are vineyards and four chestnut orchards. In the centre is a 16th-century granite house with two floors and its chapel. The winery, on the first floor, dates back to the house’s origins.
In October 2006, the first biodynamic process was implemented, marking the beginning of something that would transform the estate and its wines.
Now, Casal do Paço is recognised as an ecological winemaking model committed to the preservation of its ecosystems, which includes not only the vineyards, but also entire forests of acacias, oaks, eucalyptus and century-old trees, and is home to wild boar, foxes and eagles.
