Color: Bright light salmon.
Aroma: Youthful, with good intensity. Wild red fruits stand out, very fresh, along with stone fruit and floral notes. Mineral nuances.
Palate: Dry, very soft and creamy attack. It presents a crisp acidity and a very elegant, persistent finish where fresh red fruits stand out.

Valle Pradinhos

Region: Macedo de Cavaleiros, Trás-os-Montes.
Soil: Schist origin, with medium clay content and presence of quartz.
Climate: Temperate with continental characteristics.

Vinification: Manual harvest by variety. Manual selection of clusters. Total destemming followed by slight crushing of the berries. Slight cold skin maceration of the Touriga Nacional variety. Static clarification. Fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on fine lees until the end of January.

Valle Pradinhos is an historic, family-owned 350 hectare estate established in 1913.The wines are a blend of native grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina, and renowned international grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Riesling.

Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas is the current owner of Casal de Vale Pradinhos. Since she took over the management of the property in 1994, she has implemented her vision of winemaking in the style of the wines that are produced here. Her daughter Maria will be the 4th generation of women directly involved in the management of this estate.

The estate’s “old world” terroir and passionate wine making team combine perfectly to deliver premium world-class Portuguese wine.
