O Produtor, tasting note published in September 12th 2024

A very original aroma, thanks to its minerality. On the palate, it surprises with its creaminess and unusual salinity.

Ramilo

Ramilo Nativas rosé is born from grapes grown on vineyards overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with the Sintra Mountains as a backdrop. A regional wine from Lisbon produced organically.

Winemaking: Meticulous and manual harvest respecting the integrity of the berries. The grapes were vinified using the direct pressing method (without skin contact), with fermentation in stainless steel tanks without the addition of yeast. Aged for 9 months on lees in stainless steel.

Pairing Suggestions: Pairs well with all kinds of fish and seafood dishes, especially with oven-roasted sea fish.

Ramilo Wines

Since 1937, the Ramilo family has been dedicated to wine on the Atlantic coast between Colares and Mafra, once one of Portugal’s most famous wine regions. Four generations later, dissatisfied with the abandonment of local traditions, brothers Pedro and Nuno Ramilo left everything and returned to their origins. They faced blockades, moved stones and mountains, rehabilitated farms, saved old vineyards and replanted new ones. They rescued from oblivion the true vines of Colares and the noble varieties of the region.
