Touriga Nacional, a variety native to the Dão region, grows on slopes between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. The vineyard is managed within an integrated protection programme, and the application of herbicides is forbidden. Weeds are controlled by tilling the soil. Harvest is done manually, variety by variety, when they reach their optimum point of maturation, between the second half of September and the first half of October. The harvest is done in small 10 kg boxes. This wine is obtained after direct pressing of the red Touriga Nacionalgrapes. All the alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at 13oC.

Quinta de Lemos
Quinta de Lemos produces true nectars of the Dão! Our vineyards are tended with care by patient and experienced hands. In homage to the Dão, we create exclusive wines from the region’s native grape varieties. Located 7 km from Viseu, the district capital and a charming city, the estate sits on the Beira Alta plateau at an altitude of 340 meters. In this green paradise in central Portugal, we have a total of 50 hectares – 25 ha of vineyards, 7 ha of olive trees, and the rest divided between pine forest and vegetable garden.
