O Produtor, tasting note published in March 15th 2021
We produced our first Rosé in 2007 and this wine has already gained a loyal community of 'aficionados' in Portugal and abroad. This time the colour is much rosier than in previous years. Fine, vegetal and dry aroma. In the mouth it is light and dry - a wine that leaves the nostalgia and the mark of its taste beyond the summer.
Manual harvesting in 20 kg crates. Destemming and crushing, followed by cooling of the must and gentle pressing. After must settling, alcoholic fermentation took place in a stainless steel tank with controlled temperature (17°C) for 15 days. After fermentation, it underwent aging on fine lees for 4 months, with batonnage performed during the first month.
The Rosé from Quinta das Marias is a refreshing wine that appeals to warm days with friends around the pool. However, we also want it to be remembered beyond that, and this is how our passion for producing memorable wines that can accompany us beyond summer continues. A wine that doesn’t lose its flavor and freshness, which is why we crafted it to be a wine for the entire year.

Quinta das Marias
During the last three decades, with much love and great care, we have turned Quinta das Marias into a wine house that produces top quality wines exclusively from its own culture. Our wines are an example of the elegance, depth and refinement that only the Dão region can produce, thanks to the climatic conditions and the exceptional soils from which it benefits.
The first good wines were produced in 1998. The 1999 Dão has already won a gold medal in the Dão DOC Competition. The greatest success so far has been the awarding of the Best Single Vineyard Wine of the Year prize to the Touriga NacionalReserve 2011 in the Vinhos de Portugal Competition, the most important in the country.
As a family company we place quality above everything else. And it is exactly because of this that we have managed to affirm our wines on the international markets in front of the greatest wine lovers.
